Barnes and Noble in 2010

Well, I was at Barnes and Noble today and there it was...an entire section for children with special needs. I've spent most of my life at book stores; they top the list of my favorite places to spend time. Granted, I don't get there much these days, but I never recall such a large section for special needs. The majority of books were on Autism, ADHD, and diets for kids with developmental and speech delays. If you think this section is there because we are a more enlightened society, don't kid yourself. More parents are dealing with these issues so more authors are born and the need is there, so more people are buying. Welcome to Barnes and Noble in 2010. I hate to think how big this section will be in five years.
